Beth Dunn
No one is ever ready to farewell a loved one.
As a registered Celebrant since 2015 , I am fully aware that this is often a time of challenge, mixed emotions and uncertainty.
I am more than happy to meet with family & friends before the Funeral , to ensure it can be as detailed, relaxed, meaningful and sincere as possible – especially for those left behind .
I will work alongside you with warmth, patience, compassion, understanding and professionalism , as you decide exactly how you wish to say your unique and special final goodbyes.
My privileged role is not only to make the path a little easier for you, but to remove as much stress as possible.
I will guide you with arrangements ,whilst working alongside your chosen Funeral Director, suggest a structure for the ceremony and provide resources, so that you feel you have celebrated your loved one in a dignified, unique and individual way.
I want your day to be whatever you wish it to be, there will be many memories to be shared .
Each person has their own life story and I totally acknowledge and accept that you will have your own ideas and I will encourage them , whilst providing inspiration ( if required) as we work together to ensure it is an occasion that you will be able to remember fondly, as one that truly captured the essence of your loved one.
I welcome your involvement in delivering the ceremony, be it with readings, tributes, poems, live music or any other way you choose to incorporate.

I live in Rangiora. I have been a Celebrant for 22 years and I enjoy being part of the Gulliver Tyler Funeral Team.
As a Celebrant I am a resource provider and facilitator: I am there for the family to offer guidance, to facilitate their requests and to oversee the kind of service a family wants.
Being a funeral celebrant has been immensely fulfilling. It has been both a great privilege, and an even greater responsibility, to be involved with families and friends in one of life’s most profound and significant occasions. A funeral is as much about life as it is death.
I enjoy turning someone’s life into a memorable story. In completing a person’s life story, the life-centred funeral is profoundly therapeutic for the bereaved.
I have been privileged to meet some very special people and that is what makes being a celebrant so rewarding. As a funeral celebrant I have learnt a lot about dealing with grief and the grieving process.

Jane Godfrey
Jane has been a busy marriage celebrant since the end of 2009. It was the connections that she made with families through this service, that led her to help families farewell a loved one when the time came.
Jane is proud to have been the spokesperson for the Take the Time to Talk campaign on the FDANZ website (here), following the death of her parents, that helps people to understand, a little more, the importance of acknowledging the end of someone's life.
Jane is passionate about helping families put together an authentic, creative and appropriate farewell for their loved one. She has experience in a range of ceremonies, and is also a trainer for The Celebrants Training College, who offer a comprehensive course for farewell celebrants.
Jane is a caring, inclusive celebrant, who still juggles her celebrant work with teaching three days a week for the Southern Health School. This makes her best suited for ceremonies that have a longer lead in time such as memorials, scattering of ashes, celebrations of life etc…

I have been blessed with the ability to listen, relax people, and relate to them when they are faced with unexpected upheavals.
That has been honed by nearly forty years working for Radio and TV in an interviewing role specializing in the rural sector, where public speaking or passing on information is terrifying for most of them, .
I am proud of my ability to make it as easy as possible, and I now use those same strengths to guide families through the process of saying goodbye to their loved ones.
With respect to the very delicate subject of Suicide, I have faced the challenges within my own situation, so a total understanding is combined with the compassion I am able to share.
